AS OF JULY 2026
There’s been an update to your YORVIPATH needle
YORVIPATH has switched to a standard needle that is included with your prescription.
Here’s what to know:
Your YORVIPATH pen and medication have not changed
- Same pen. Same medication. Same dose
- Even the needle size (31G × 5mm) is the same
- The only update is the needle design—and it’s the standard type used with most injectable therapies
Using the new needle is simple
- Open the white foil packet, attach the needle to your pen, then remove the outer needle cover and small semi-transparent inner needle shield
- Be sure to keep the outer needle cover—you’ll need it for disposal
- Dial your dose and inject as usual, keeping a steady hand
Your support team is ready to help
- Your A·S·A·P support team, specialty pharmacy, and medical team are prepared to walk you through the new needle if you’d like extra guidance
- Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns about this update
A standard needle design has replaced the self-locking needle
Key differences*:
Packaging
The peel-off foil tab will now be white instead of yellow.
Outer needle cover
The outer needle cover must be manually reattached before disposal.
Inner needle shield and visibility
The updated needle has a small semi-transparent inner needle shield that you’ll remove after attaching it to your pen. The exposed needle will remain visible before and after use.
*Differences listed are illustrative and not exhaustive.
Before and after the injection, the needle will remain visible—this is normal.
Unlike the previous needle, there is no self-locking sleeve that retracts. To dispose: Carefully reattach the outer needle cover, unscrew the needle off the pen, and place it in your sharps container.
