YORVIPATH is an FDA-approved treatment for low parathyroid hormone, or hypopara, in adults. Once-daily YORVIPATH treats hypopara with the goal of keeping blood calcium levels normal while reducing or eliminating the need for oral calcium and active vitamin D.

It is a ready-to-use, once-daily injection and comes in a convenient, prefilled pen.

YORVIPATH is designed to help provide your body with the PTH it needs: 

• Helps maintain normal movement of calcium through your bones, blood, and vital organs 
• Activates vitamin D to help with calcium absorption

YORVIPATH provided continuous PTH to keep calcium levels normal over 24 hours.^*

82 adults with hypopara participated in the study

Dosing and dose adjustment protocol:

• All participants were on conventional therapy, then were assigned to take either YORVIPATH or placebo
• Doses for YORVIPATH, placebo, and conventional therapy were adjusted by a doctor based on blood calcium levels

To be considered responsive to treatment with YORVIPATH, people had to meet ALL of the following criteria at Week 26:

• Normal blood calcium levels
• Independence from conventional therapy^† since Week 22
• No increase in YORVIPATH or placebo doses since Week 22
• No missing conventional therapy data since Week 22
• The YORVIPATH or placebo dose was less than or equal to 30 micrograms per day during the entire study

Results from individual measurements in the study^§:

YORVIPATH was generally safe and well tolerated for people with hypopara.

Injection site reactions were the most common side effect of YORVIPATH in the clinical study. Other side effects included a drop in blood pressure or lightheadedness when standing up, headache, diarrhea, back pain, high blood calcium levels, and sore throat.

No one stopped taking YORVIPATH due to side effects during the 26-week clinical study.

YORVIPATH is administered as a daily injection using a convenient, prefilled, ready-to-use pen.

If you’ve already been prescribed YORVIPATH, the Ascendis Signature Access Program^® (A·S·A·P) can help you with starting YORVIPATH, as well as things like navigating insurance and staying on track throughout your treatment.*

With YORVIPATH, there are two ways to get support: through the Ascendis Signature Access Program^® (A·S·A·P) or going directly through the specialty pharmacy. All patients can receive support from their specialty pharmacy, but enrollment in A·S·A·P grants you additional support, including a dedicated Nurse Advocate and financial assistance, if eligible.

Eligible patients with commercial health insurance may pay as little as $5 per month for YORVIPATH through the Co-Pay Program.

If you do not have insurance or are underinsured, you may qualify for treatment at $0 through the Ascendis Patient Assistance Program (PAP).

The YORVIPATH Co-Pay Program may provide savings for eligible patients with commercial health insurance. Eligible patients may pay as little as $5 per month for YORVIPATH.
